AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX

According to Benchlife, the upcoming flagship RDNA3 part should be called Radeon RX 7900 XTX. We can now corroborate that this name is indeed used by AMD for the new Radeon model.

The XTX branding has not been used on any Radeon card since X1000 series (X1900XTX); however, it is still part of the GPU naming schema (XT, XTX, XTXH etc.). There were rumors that the upgraded Radeon RX 6900XT models may end up with an XTX moniker, but eventually a decision was made to keep using the XT naming for the top Navi 21 GPUs.

As of now, we are only aware of two Radeon RX 7900 models: RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT. There is no trace of the 7800 or 7700 series yet, so the rumors about delayed Navi 32/33 launch may indeed be true.

It was expected that the flagship part might be called RX 7950 XT, however this option will remain open for upgraded parts, such as the rumored Navi 3X GPUs with 3D V-Cache.

To give credit where it’s due, such a product name was first mentioned by coreteks in his predictions, although this might have just been a coincidence. Of course, we are working on confirming this name with other sources, so stay tuned for more RDNA3 leaks.
