Palit wants gamers to customize their GPUs even more

If you happen to own a 3D printer and Palit GamingPro GPU, this might be a cool thing to explore.

Graphics card design has evolved over the years, to the point where we have probably seen everything. Anime-inspired design, colorful shrouds, removable or attachable fans, or even quad-slot passive designs.

Palit realized that innovation should not stop at the company’s designer desk, but rather give users a chance to explore new ideas themselves. Along with the RTX 4070 Ti graphics card launch, Palit announced its Maker Project.

Maker Project is a library of 3D models for the GamingPro GPUs. Users can download a model for front plate matching any of the GamingPro cards (and unfortunately only GamingPro GPUs). Such prints can be easily attached to the card and cover the existing design.

Palit even has separate 3D models for users with smaller printers, just in case they need to print two pieces separately. Those models can be modified and later painted. The latter option is presented below, the card was painted in yellow to copy Cyberpunk 2077 design. On the right side is a 3D model for Godzilla, a 3D model Palit designed for the last-gen Gaming Pro GPU.

What has not been said in the video is whether such modifications affect the warranty. We have confirmed with Palit that as long as only these four screws are removed (pictured below), the warranty will not be voided. Naturally, the cooler shouldn’t be disassembled fully. Furthermore, for any RMA claims, users must return the GPU to the original state how it shipped.
