AMD Ryzen 7 7700 specs confirmed

The mysterious Ryzen 7 7700 has already made its way to the benchmark sites.

Over at Geekbench, the first score of the rumored Ryzen 7 7700 non-X has just been published. The CPU is confirmed to be 8 cores and 16-threads and supposedly boosts up to 5.350 GHz, but the typical clock is around 5.28 GHz. However, it is safe to assume that the max boost clock is at least 100 MHz lower than Ryzen 7 7700X, the 105W higher-end model.

The CPU has been tested on ASRock X670E Taichi motherboard and was paired with DDR5-4800 memory, so even below AMD’s recommended 5200 MT/s memory. The base clock has been reported at 3.8 GHz, which is 700 MHz lower than 7700X. Lower clocks are a result of a much lower default TDP, reportedly at 65W.

With a score of 2062 points, the CPU is slower than Ryzen 7 7600X in the single-core test (2125 points); however, it is 13% faster in multi-core at 12685 points compared to 7600X’s 11215 points. Unfortunately, the Intel 13th Gen Core series are not yet included in Geekbench’s official ranking, and neither is the Ryzen 7 5700. That said, we are not adding it to keep the data as accurate as possible.
