In a world where same-day deliveries are soon becoming the norm, a Delhi man has revealed on Twitter that he recently received an online order after a delay of four years. Twitter user @techbharatco shared a picture of an international package and wrote, “Never lose hope! So, I ordered this from AliExpress (now banned in India) back in 2019 and the parcel was delivered today.”
As hundreds of people liked the tweet, many recalled the website with a hint of nostalgia. Commenting on the tweet, a person remarked, “You’ll remember Aliexpress?😆 the delivery was always a hit or miss but refunds were provided”.

Another person wrote, “I ordered my order from AliExpress back in 2018, it’s not been delivered yet .let’s see if I am that lucky”. “I too received my parcel after 8 months from AliExpress. Till then AliExpress refunded my amount too :),” wrote the third.
AliExpress, an online retail service, was banned in India in June 2020, along with 47 other Chinese apps. The China-based company was known for selling a range of hard-to-find products at cheaper prices. However, the website was also notorious for delayed shipping and selling dupes. Founded in 2010, AliExpress is owned by the Alibaba Group. In February 2022, the U.S. Trade Representative’s office added AliExpress to its list of ‘Notorious Markets for Counterfeiting’ list.
