AMD Ryzen 7000 non-X series to launch in Q1 2023
According to chi11eddog, AMD is set to launch its new Ryzen 7000 CPUs next year.
Hardware leaker chi11eddog claims to know the specs of three Ryzen 7000 CPUs that have not yet been released. This is actually an update to our 7000 non-X series coverage, which we have been reporting on for at least a month now.
It is said that AMD will release three parts, namely Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 5 7600 SKU. The main difference between those parts and existing models is limited default power, likely from 170W to 65W.
7900 (5.4G max):Y23 Q1 $429
7700 (5.3G max):Y23 Q1 $329
7600 (5.1G max):Y23 Q1 $229— chi11eddog (@g01d3nm4ng0) November 17, 2022
The Ryzen 9 7900 is the new part that was not mentioned in previous leaks. According to the new information, this part would feature 12 cores and boosts clock up to 5.4 GHz, so 200 MHz slower than the X variant. It is said that this CPU would cost $429 which is $120 cheaper.
Furthermore, the Ryzen 7 7700 with 8 cores is alleged to have a boost at 5.3 GHz, so just 100 MHz shy of the X variant. Inherently, it would also cost 70 USD less with MSRP at $329, which seems likely a good deal.
The 6-core Ryzen 5 7600 is said to cost $229, so also 70 USD cheaper than the X-variant. This SKU would get 200 MHz slower boost clock with max clock reaching as high as 5.1 GHz.
All three SKUs are to launch in the first quarter next year. Therefore, it is safe to assume that AMD will announce these new parts at CES 2023.
