MSI Releases Radeon RX 6900 XT Gaming X Trio Graphics Card

MSI is proud to officially announce the Radeon RX 6900 XT GAMING X TRIO graphics card, powered by the groundbreaking AMD RDNA2 gaming architecture. AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics cards provide new levels of performance, incredible visual fidelity and advanced features to power amazing 4K gaming experiences.

The AMD RDNA2 gaming architecture at the core of the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT Series is designed to deliver the optimal combination of performance and efficiency. It features a breakthrough high-speed design and enhanced power efficiency, designed to deliver higher performance with lower power consumption, and a new cache hierarchy designed to minimize data movement, latency and power usage. In addition, support for DirectX 12 Ultimate provides gamers with a powerful blend of raytracing, compute and rasterized effects to elevate games to a new level of realism.
The Radeon RX 6900 XT GAMING X TRIO graphics card has been refreshed with a new look while maintaining the same great balance between the performance, cooling and quiet operation that gamers demand. Mystic Light adorns the exterior of the graphics card, illuminating color in sync with the rest of the PC through Mystic Light Sync and Ambient Link, all controlled with the Dragon Center software utility.

he Radeon RX 6900 XT GAMING X TRIO graphics card also features:
  • Torx Fan 4.0 - A new fan design features pairs of fan blades bound together with an outer link, forming a rim that focuses airflow into the updated TRI FROZR 2 cooling system.
  • Core Pipes - Precision-machined for maximum contact over the GPU and to spread the heat along the full length of the heatsink for optimal cooling.
  • Metal Backplate - A matte-finish backplate not only reinforces the graphics card, but also provides efficient passive cooling with the implementation of thermal pads.
MSI Afterburner is the world's most recognized and widely used graphics card overclocking software. It gives gamers full control of their graphics card and enables them to monitor key system metrics in real-time. Afterburner provides a free performance boost for a smooth in-game experience thanks to higher FPS. The latest version of Afterburner supports the new Radeon RX 6900 XT Series graphics cards by MSI.

Dragon Center unifies all MSI software for components, desktops, laptops and peripherals within a brand-new software platform. Gamers can customize graphics card performance in the software, such as with Gaming Mode that instantly optimizes the hardware for the best gaming experience, including SSD, monitor and network settings. This budding new software platform will continue to improve and evolve with more exclusive functions and benefits for MSI users.
The MSI GAMING X TRIO Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card is expected to be available in the beginning of February, 2021.

Is this a joke ? How many cards ? 50 for the whole Europe, same for US and a 100 for Asia ?
Start giving us 6800 and 6900, and then we will talk about new fancy model.

You are not buying it anyway so why complain about it? Well I got mine anyway so it doesn't matter how many. If you want it and/or need it you can buy it.

Same as above. Why do you complain if you are not buying it even if it had the previous msrp of $1k.

If you don't have anything to add about the product itself just complain then go somewhere else.

My friend is looking kind of any high end card because he's updating his old rig for a 4K setup. He has... a Radeon 7950 and is currently unable to change (no shipping to his country from most resellers) !
He has all the money he want (for a card), he's just not paying it at perf/price ratio so low. @1k2 for a 6800, it's not worth it. Not even considering very high-end card available @2k if you find one.

Someone being 100% ok with a doubled price is clearly either dumb (which I don't think you are) or totally blinded by it's hobby/passion. The card is worth it @1k for this one. But it's going to be sold 2k at least. Be realistic, only a few will have it at a normal price.
We all have the money if we want to. We just don't want to pay twice the price. 10-20% more, it's the reseller margin, but it's just taking advantage of a situation.

Why? I got all 4 of my rdna2 cards at msrp, 2 within the last 3 weeks and the one prior to that a week or 2 before. Why though? Really!!

The fact of the matter is, if you dont need it dont buy it. I need it and so I bought it. It is that simple

It's exactly what I'm talking about. You don't need a 6900 XT, you want one and you're willing to buy one even +50% to +100% of the price.
That's two very different things.
If you can't see the difference, you're totally biased.

You have some money you can throw by a window ? Good for you. Don't tell us that the current situation is normal and everyone should buy something whatever the price.
Just look at my previous link and tell me there's nothing wrong.

Why do you say I don't need one. You have no idea what you are talking about. Well the fact of the matter is I do need one.
I've never said the situation is normal. I said, if you want to buy a card because you need one and you look for it you can get it.

Agree by not denying it. A certain orange dude told us what it is so many times. At least you clarified your position on "not agree".
I just wanted to show the difference between need and will. You may need it for work purpose or because of some other things, that's none of my business. Many of us don't "need" a new GPU even if they wish to change it.

At least we came to an agreement on all subjects :)

Great. Next time try not to assume or judge. You been saying to me You can't get it and that I don't need it. That is simply put crazy.
Glad we got this one sorted out.
