WhatsApp beta for Windows gets a screen-sharing feature for video calls
WhatsApp is rolling out a new update for the Windows native app through the official beta channel on the Microsoft Store, bringing the version up to 2.2322.1.0.

With the latest WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2322.1.0 update available on the Microsoft Store, some beta testers may experiment with a new feature when placing video calls: a screen-sharing option. This feature was previously released to a small group of users after installing the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.11.19 update, and we can now confirm that this is now available to certain beta testers that installed the latest beta update for Windows!
In case the feature is enabled for your WhatsApp account, you can share the content of your screen by selecting the specific option available within the video call bottom control. When you select this option, you will be prompted to share a specific window or the entire content of your screen with everyone connected to the video call. Note that you can also share the content of your screen even with people that are connected to the call from their mobile devices.
You’re always in control over sharing your screen so you can stop doing it at any time by selecting the “Stop Sharing Screen” button. In addition, you should always be careful when using this feature, as sensitive information may appear while you’re sharing your screen.
The ability to share the content of your screen is available for some beta testers that install the latest WhatsApp beta for Windows update released on the Microsoft Store.
