Intel officially discontinues Arc A770 16GB Limited Edition

Arc A770 Limited Edition is no more

Intel has announced it will discontinue Arc A770 Limited Edition.

Intel unexpectedly announces it will no longer ship Arc A770 Limited Edition GPUs. This announcement only affects Intel branded GPUs “Limited Edition” and only the A770 SKU for now. This means that all board partner designs will continue as they were and Intel will ship silicons to said companies as they did in the past, confirms PC Gamer.

The A770 LE was one of the very few Intel models offered with 16GB VRAM. This means that only three Arc A770 16GB models will remain on the market, including as: ACER Predator Bisfrost and Gunnir Photon in Black and White, so not a long list for sure. However, Intel also offers a 8GB SKU to its partners, and there are as many as four models featuring this configuration as well.

It is noteworthy to mention that the notification regarding the pricing change was issued yesterday and has already taken effect. The company usually announces product discontinuation or changes sooner, and such processes have many steps (taking up to a year). This PCN has already been established, indicating that no further LE cards will be manufactured.

What is equally important, Product Change Notification was not issued for the Arc A750 Limited Edition, which remains one of the most affordable ‘modern’ GPUs on the market.
