ASUS ZenFone 9 specifications, design revealed accidentally, launch seems imminent

ASUS has recently launched the ROG Phone 6 series. It will soon launch the ZenFone 9 series of flagship phones. It appears that the Taiwanese manufacturer inadvertently shared an official video of the ZenFone 9 on YouTube. The video, which has been taken down, has revealed the design and specifications of the ZenFone 9.

The ASUS ZenFone 9 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It will draw power from a 4,300mAh battery. The rear-facing dual-camera setup of the device will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera with 6-axis gimbal OIS. It has a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

In addition, it will feature a button called the ZenTouch, which will work as a slider to move a page. The front side of the phone is flanked by a 5.9-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a punch-hole design. It will carry support for a 120Hz refresh rate. For audiophiles, it will feature a 3.5mm audio jack and dual stereo speakers. It will come equipped with an IP68-rated water-resistant chassis.

The video also reveals that the company may offer a smart backpack mount accessory with optional gimbal stabilizer functionality for people who are interested in purchasing the ZenFone 9. The company will also offer another accessory,  the Connex phone case with a kickstand or card holder.

Like the predecessor ZenFone 8, the ZenFone 9 will be a compact flagship phone. It will come in red, off-white, black, and blue colors.
