The torrent of leaks surrounding the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro likely meant that both models would smile for the cameras before Google officially announced its newest flagship lineup. Sadly for the company, that is exactly what happened, as the base model got its very own mini-unboxing video, showing the new Hazel finish and the accessories that come with the new model.
Google made slight perfections to the overall Pixel 8 design, but that rear camera visor has a new thickness level
PBKreviews uploaded a video in the form of a YouTube Short, and it was only a few seconds in length, but we got a good look at the flagship from all angles, including the few accessories, which makes Google more generous than Apple in this regard. While the following is subjective, the Hazel finish looks absolutely stunning, though the company went a bit overboard with the rear camera bump housing the two sensors model as it has achieved a new level of thickness.
From the back label, we figured out that the Pixel 8 features a 6.2-inch screen size, with this particular variant featuring 128GB of internal storage but only supporting the sub-6GHz 5G band. It is possible that the YouTuber got his hands on a non-U.S. variant, as in this region, finding high-end handsets that support both the mmWave and sub-6GHz 5G bands is becoming common now.
In the box, you get a USB-A to USB-C adapter, along with a non-braided USB-C to USB-C cable. Google stopped bundling chargers last year, so it is no surprise that it is not included with the Pixel 8. The white-colored sticker shows a small in-screen fingerprint label, but the biometrics were not tested in this mini-unboxing. For those wondering why PBKreviews did not publish a video with a longer length, to be fair, it was unnecessary.
