AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT & NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card prices continue to take a nose dive in China.
AMD & NVIDIA High-End GPUs Now Available For 20% Below MSRP in China: RTX 4080 For $1060 & RX 7900 XT For $790 US
We are aware that prices across various hardware components are falling below MSRP which is a great thing for consumers. Prices of NVIDIA, Intel, and AMD have seen either official or retailer cuts over the past few months and it looks like there are even more discounts on offer in China where the prices have hit 20% below MSRP on a few specific variants.
The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT 20 GB graphics card recently hit its lowest price ever of $762 US in the US, marking a 15% drop versus its original MSRP of $899 US and a 10% drop over the new MSRP of $849 US. In China, the graphics card came at a very high starting MSRP of 7399 RMB ($1063 US) but has now dropped significantly. One can easily find the XFX MERC 618 variant starting at 5899 RMB or $847 US which is slightly cheaper than the US MSRP & marks a 20% drop over the China MSRP.
But that's not even the best deal as Taobao beats JD.com with an even lower pricing of 5499 RMB for the same graphics card which converts to $790 US. That's a -25% drop below the MSRP. This is an incredible deal for Chinese gamers and we can expect pricing to drop further and match the US deals in the coming days.
Moving over to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080, the graphics card, the Manli Gallardo variant can be found for as low as 7399 RMB which is a -22.1% drop versus the MSRP of 9499 RMB set for it. This brings the pricing to $1060 US which is almost $50 US than the lowest price for US buyers. In the US, the lowest price so far has been $1109 US. This makes the Chinese prices a -11.5% drop over the US MSRP of $1199 US.
But the price drop doesn't stop here. Intel's Arc graphics cards have also seen some reductions with the Arc A750 8 GB starting at 1599 RMB or $229 US. This is $20 US below the new US MSRP which was officially set to $249 US. The graphics card is a great option for value-oriented gamers and can easily be found close to $220 US in the US markets too.
These price cuts reflect the state of the PC market as a whole which has seen a major decline with a recovery expected in the second half of 2023. Retailers and companies are offering major incentives and discounts to move their existing inventory and we have also seen a surge in game promotions.
