It was previously reported by a prominent analyst that the iPhone SE 4 will not see daylight any time soon. The Cupertino giant halted the production of the iPhone SE 4 with news of a potential delay or the idea of a cancellation altogether. Today, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that the iPhone SE 4 is back on the table for Apple and that development is underway. Additionally, the device will launch with the company's in-house 5G modems and is slated to be similar to the iPhone 14.

Renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated on Twitter that Apple's fourth-gen iPhone SE is under development. It was previously coined by various sources that the iPhone SE 4 will feature an all-screen design and that it will look pretty similar to the iPhone XR. Kuo is now highlighting that the device will look like the base iPhone 14 models in terms of design.

The iPhone XR came with an LCD display in contrast to the OLED display on the iPhone 14. Additionally, the latter also comes with meniscus bezels in contrast to the XR. If Apple does plan to redesign the iPhone SE 4 to look like the iPhone 14 and keeps the price to a minimum, it will catch the eye of many and be a tough option to beat in terms of the competition.

Apart from this, Kuo also mentions that the iPhone SE 4 will be the first iPhone to come with Apple's in-house 5G modem. What this means is that the device will use Apple's custom chip instead of Qualcomm modems. The modem will be potentially fabricated on a 4nm process. The current SE 3 offers 5G capabilities through Qualcomm's Snapdragon X57 chip.

The SE 4 comes with an LCD panel, and the OLED integration will be a major change for the budget lineup. At this point, we are not familiar if the iPhone SE 4 will come with Face ID or if it would house Touch ID in the Power button like the iPad Air and iPad mini. Furthermore, the analyst did not highlight when Apple will launch the device, but earlier reports claim that Apple will launch its redesigned budget iPhone in 2024.

We will share more details on the device, so be sure to stick around. Do you think Apple will increase the price of the budget iPhone? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
