Apart from dual-foldable and slideable OLED panels, Samsung Display also showcased the world's first laptop OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate at the Display Week 2022 event. This new OLED panel is meant for high-end gaming laptops.

Samsung Display's new OLED display panel has already been teased by gaming laptop maker Razer. It is a 15-inch OLED panel with a resolution of QHD and a 240Hz refresh rate. The upcoming display will likely feature HDR10+ and Dolby Vision capabilities. OLED's faster pixel response time will likely offer a smoother gaming experience than even 360Hz LCD panels on other gaming laptops.

The Razer Blade 15, which is likely the first gaming laptop to feature Samsung Display's 240Hz OLED screen, will launch in Q4 2022. It comes with a whopping $3,500 price tag and features Intel's 12th Gen CPUs and the Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU.

    Samsung Flex Gaming OLED Display

Samsung also showcased a foldable OLED panel that can fold into half and be used in handheld gaming consoles. This ‘Gaming Foldable Display' allows two gaming controllers towards its ends, similar to the Nintendo Switch. When not in use, the display can be folded for a more compact device.

Who knows, maybe Nintendo will release a new Switch-series portable gaming handheld with a foldable display and a more compact form factor in the future.
