Are two Nathans better than one? Nora might discover the answer in Upload Season 3 (premiering Friday, Oct. 20, with two episodes weekly, on Prime Video).
In the above newly released trailer, Nora and downloaded Nathan are enjoying “an amazing connection” on Earth, but there’s still the not-so-little problem of the rebooted Nathan living in Lakeview’s virtual reality. Ingrid sees the new Nathan as an opportunity for a do-over with her ex, whose 2.0 version won’t remember breaking up with her. Nora, meanwhile, has, um, other ideas.
“Two Nathans, one Nora. Never fantasized about this before,” she says with a smile as she puts on her VR headset.
“I’s not like it’s cheating. It’s just your boyfriend six months ago, back when he was a little more into you,” another character reassures Nora. (When he was more into her?! Is the couple already experiencing romantic woes?)
As for downloaded Nathan, he wonders if he can be jealous of himself after Ingrid informs him, “I think that your girl is hanging with my fake dude.”
On top of relationship issues, Nora and downloaded Nathan are “racing to stop the mysterious conspiracy that threatens to destroy millions of lives. Can they shut down Freeyond, and finally have a real life together? Or is it just a matter of time until Nathan’s head explodes?” asks the official synopsis.
“Back in the real world, Aleesha rises through the ranks of Horizen by managing AI education, and falls into a new romantic relationship. And Luke, all alone in Lakeview, is forced to come up with the funds to pay for his stay in paradise, driving him to work in The Grey Zone,” the synopsis continues.
