It’s raining RTX 4070

More custom GeForce RTX 4070 graphics cards have now been spotted.

We have several updates to our RTX 4070 coverage, finally showing more designs based on NVIDIA’s slowest Ada GPU yet. Pictures of Gigabyte’s full lineup have made their way to the public eye with help from retailer Amazon. There are also some updates on dual-fan designs.

Gigabyte is working on four cards, such as Gaming, WindForce, Aero and Eagle GPUs. Only WindForce and Eagle RTX 4070 cards will ship with standard 8-pin power connectors, while ‘premium’ Gaming and Aero will get 16-pin connectors instead.

Importantly, Gigabyte does not believe the RTX 4070 is worthy of a dual-fan design, so all four designs will get three fans. Gigabyte’s stance on dual-fan designs is unlikely to change until the RTX 4060 series arrive later.

We have already shown the RTX 4070 Ventus 3X and Gaming Trio GPUs, but there are also a Ventus 2X and Suprim cards coming. The latter has not been pictured yet, but MSI’s first RTX 40 dual-fan GPU finally has. This model will use the same design as 3X model, the only true difference being a lack of a third fan. Furthermore, both cards are to use 8-pin power connectors, indicating that we are looking at a budget-friendly option.

ZOTAC Twin Edge OC and Palit Dual OC are another examples of dual-fan designs finally reaching Ada Lovelace series. In case this wasn’t clear enough, product packaging for all cards in this post confirms they ship with 12GB GDDR6X memory.

NVIDIA is set to launch its RTX 4070 GPU on April 13th. The company is working with partners to launch many cards at MSRP. This incentive is clearly seen in numerous designs equipped with 8-pin power connectors and the fact that these cards will take priority in review coverage on April 13th.
