Alleged AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT leaks in a new render

AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT with single-fan design

We received a tip from one of our readers, who claims that the graphics card seen in the picture below is the press photo of the upcoming Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics card.

The render does appear to be legit, in fact, it looks very similar to the one already presented by AMD at CES 2021. During that event, AMD had made a promise to launch new desktop and mobile RDNA2 graphics solutions, including mysterious dual-fan and single-fan models. The former turned out to be Radeon RX 6700 XT based on Navi 22 GPU that launched in March, whereas the single-fan version has not been released yet.

Since CES 2021 was held, AMD launched as many as three Navi 23 products, including Radeon RX 6600M, Radeon Pro W6600, and Radeon Pro W6600M. Unfortunately, AMD did not deliver on its promise to launch this single-fan and clearly gaming model already in the first half of 2021.

A new render that we received also shows a small graphics card, possibly in Mini-ITX form factor equipped with a single 8-pin power connector. It is kept in a black and silver design with a red accent on the side, just as the rest of the RDNA2 lineup.

The 8-pin power connector is not clearly visible in the original photo, which is why we are also including this slightly modified version:

AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT and non-XT models are both to feature Navi 23 GPU and up to 8GB of GDDR6 memory. The RX6600 XT variant should sport 2048 Stream Processors whereas the RX 6600 might be equipped with 1792 cores, just as many as the mobile variant. A mobile gaming variant has already been tested, but there are not many details on desktop parts yet. What is expected though is high power efficiency and relatively high clocks compared to other Navi2X GPUs.

Although the source mentioned that this is a press photo of the RX 6600 XT, we are not aware of any embargo on such products yet. For now, all specifications mentioned here are an educated guess based on products already launched or leaks from sites such as EEC.
