Intel Core i7-13700T 35W Raptor Lake CPU is almost as fast as i5-12600K in leaked Geekbench tests

Intel’s first model from 13th Gen Core T-series makes a debut on Geekbench

Intel i7-13700T is a 35W TDP default CPU with 16 cores and 24 threads.

This low-power SKU has very low base clock of 1.4 GHz, but still keeps relatively high 4.788 GHz boost clock. The T-series models are not for gamers, though, but low-power systems, adhering to default TDP of 35W. Such processors make sense for small form factor designs, embedded solutions and other devices that may require many cores but do not necessarily have capable cooling solutions.

The CPU scores 1893-1939 points in Geekbench V5 single-core test and 8925 to 11564 in multi-core. Such performance puts i7-13700T higher than 8-core Ryzen 7 5800X based on Zen3 architecture. The maximum TDP for Raptor Lake CPU is unknown, but even if it’s 99W, that’s still lower than 105W (142W PPT). The Raptor Lake CPU did not have an advantage of DDR5 memory in this comparison, as DDR4-3200 kit was used.

In comparison to official i5-12600K data, i7-13700T ends up faster in single-core and almost as fast in multi-core.

Initial launch of Intel Raptor Lake series is to include K-series only, but this leaks confirms that T-series are now being tested as well. It is unclear when exactly they might launch, though.
