It is yet another year where Google has failed to keep product leaks under control, and that too before its I/O 2023 keynote, where the Pixel 7a is said to see an official unveiling. Before the event starts, a promo video has been doing the rounds, revealing that the mid-ranger will be available to purchase in four colors and will have an impressive camera for a non-flagship smartphone.

One part of the promo video shows that the Pixel 7a will be a competitor when capturing images in low light

The collaboration of @OnLeaks and MediaPeanut has brought you the promo video leak of the Pixel 7a. We already know what the mid-ranged handset looks like from the inside, thanks to a previous teardown video, so we do not need to get into the details of what you will find under the hood. We do need to discuss what potential buyers are expecting, so right off the bat, when you click on the video below, you will notice four different colors, though two of those finishes look awfully similar.

This year, Google may have increased the number of colors compared to the Pixel 6a from last year, but they lack vibrancy. Perhaps the company is attempting to play a careful approach to the market, as the dull or regular colors actually play well with the majority of buyers. After all, at this time, Google does not have the same consumer reach as Apple, where it can launch a smartphone with several striking colors and expect a boatload of shipments to take place in a single financial quarter.

Next up, the camera in the promo video is said to be quite capable, with one part of the Pixel 7a promo video showing how the handset performs with its Night Sight mode enabled. The device appears to compete well with flagships in terms of image quality, but seeing as how it is a promo video, we should expect Google to use enhanced quality improvement techniques to help lure customers to its latest offering.

The promo video was in a different language, but it was simple enough to understand the various features Google was attempting to market. Strangely, we did not see the company promote the Tensor G2 on the Pixel 7a, likely because we have already seen the chip in action when running in the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. With the promo video out, let us know what you think down in the comments.
