Another high-end NVIDIA RTX laptop GPU to contend with upcoming Intel Arc Alchemist?

Joining the previously rumored Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU appearing in the PCI Device database, it seems that another mobile GPU from NVIDIA will be joining the ring. It would seem that based on details gathered from the PCI Devices Database, this particular GPU carries an ID of 24A0 which references NVIDIA GN20-E6 mobile GPU. According to comments added to the PCI Device ID database, this would be the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU. Akin to the previously reported RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU, the identifier is not based on NVIDIA's Ampere series.

The NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU will be a slight core increase over its non-Ti counterpart. NVIDIA's current flagship, the RTX 3080 Laptop GPU, already has 6144 cores while the standard NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU (non-Ti) has 5120 cores. Therefore the core count is expected to range from 5120 cores to 6144 cores for the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU.

Although we are yet to see the performance figures on Intel's upcoming Arc Alchemist GPUs, NVIDIA appears to be gearing up its premium RTX-based GPU laptop series to remain one of the top contenders in the GPU ring.

Update: For clarification, the GPU identifiers for both the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (GN20-E6) and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti (GN20-E8) are not part of the current Ampere series line since they are not yet announced and subsequently have not been used in previous GPU iterations.
