WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.6.3: what’s new?
WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.22.6.3.

WhatsApp has introduced a new contact info redesign on WhatsApp beta for Android the last year, the same that was available for business info. In the meantime, they were working on bringing the same redesign for contact info on WhatsApp beta for iOS as well, including a search shortcut.
In the last few hours, WhatsApp is rolling out the search shortcut to certain Android beta testers!
As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp is adding the search shortcut to the redesigned contact info page. Some users are also able to see the same shortcut in group info as well. Unfortunately, the search shortcut doesn’t seem working so well: it happens that, even if the feature has been correctly rolled out to your WhatsApp account, it may not appear in certain situations. Since this is a beta version, things like that may happen, but the next beta updates will surely fix the issue.
This feature is available to certain beta testers today, so be sure to update to the 2.22.6.3 beta version on the Google Play Store.
