For the most part, Android is pretty stable when it comes to being a daily driver. I mean, over 3 billion people use the OS on a daily basis, and we don't see a lot of incidents where the OS starts behaving weirdly. However, for Pixel users, there seems to be a different story, as a lot of them are experiencing random app crashes, and there is no apparent fix for these crashes at the moment.

Pixel users are experiencing a variety of apps crashing without a known reason, only temporary fixes are currently available

Google Pixel owners on Reddit have started talking about how several apps have started crashing on their devices. What's interesting is that this issue is not only with the first-party apps but also with the third-party apps, making us wonder just how severe it actually is in the first place. What's even more worrying is that this issue is not limited to just a specific device, as all Pixel phones are being reported to have this issue.

When you open apps like Chrome, Gmail, Adblock Browser, and others on your Pixel phones, the app crashes, and sometimes, there is not even a crash report. Some users are also reporting that they cannot even open the System Update page as it crashes the moment it opens, and so far, we don't know what's causing it.

As far as the fix or workaround is concerned, many users have reported that rolling back on the app actually fixes the crashes. Sometimes, you can just restart your phone or reboot in safe mode and even factory reset. Some Pixel users have even reported that updating to the latest version of Carrier services or Play services can fix the issue, or rolling back on them actually does the job too. Needless to say, the issue is no longer isolated, and it seems that only Pixel users are affected by it. We have not heard the same reporters for people who are using other Android devices, but we will keep an eye out if something is found.

Honestly, I would hate to be someone running into these issues on my phone. Whatever the app might be, it is still an annoying thing to run into, and with that frequency. The issue here is the fact that there is no actual way to tell what's causing this, so until Google releases a fix, we cannot say when this will be over.
