The information comes from the famous Reddit channel u/T0biasCZE, where he tested the new Firefox feature. It is essential to highlight that neither Mozilla Foundation nor NVIDIA has released an official statement on the addition of VSR, which could mean that the feature is at its initial stages. 1. Open your Mozilla Firefox browser and navigate to "Settings." Type "about:config" on the search bar.
  2. Search the "gfx.webrender.super-resolution.nvidia" on the "Preferences" tab and set it to "True"

There you have it, VSR is now enabled on your Mozilla browser, and you can enjoy the power of NVIDIA's upscaling technology. For those unaware, VSR combines software (AI algorithms) and hardware (RTX Tensor Cores) to enhance the clarity and sharpness of videos watched through Chromium-based browsers. However, since RTX Video Super Resolution leverages the Tensor Cores available in NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs, it is only available on 40 and 30 Series graphics cards. You can view extensive testing of the feature below:

VSR is currently limited to certain applications although NVIDIA is working on expanding the feature to other platforms. The feature has also been added to VLC Media Player and we could expect it to have extensive support in the future. Additionally, the technology is also widely available within the full range of Chromium browsers and can easily be accessed by enabling it through NVIDIA Control Panel.
