Intel Arc Alchemist Mobile divided into Arc 3, Arc 5 and Arc 7 series

Tomorrow, Intel is launching its first discrete GPUs for gamers. The first wave of Arc graphics will go into laptops.

Intel will launch five Arc Mobile graphics cards: A770M, A730M, A550M, A370M and A350M. Only the Arc 3 series will be available starting from tomorrow, while Arc 5 and Arc 7 will launch in early summer (so late June at earliest), Intel confirms.

It should be noted that the company confirmed there are only two Alchemist SoCs: ACM-G10 (32 Xe-Cores) and ACM-G11 (8 Xe-Cores). The A550M, A730M and A770M are all based on the G10 variant, which offers up to 32 Xe-Cores (or 4096 FP32 cores). Meanwhile, the A370M and A350M are based on the G11 variant, which was previously referred to as DG2-128EU. Overall, there are no surprises in terms of specifications, at least not for the Arc 3 and the flagship Arc 7 SKUs.

Intel Arc A770M, is the flagship model equipped with 32 Xe-Cores, 16 GB of GDDR6 memory across 256-bit bus interface. It has a default graphics clock of 1.65 GHz and TDP within 120W to 150W range. An Arc A730M has 24 Xe-Cores (384 FP32 cores) and 12 GB GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit interface. The power envelope on this part is reduced to 80-120W.  The clock speed is not very high either, only 1.1 GHz.

The Arc A550M is using half of the ACM-G10 Xe-Cores (so 2048 FP3 cores). This part is equipped with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory and 128-bit memory bus width. This mid-range SKU has a TDP within 60 to 80W.

Intel’s entry-level A370M and A350M are both based on the same processor with up to 8 Xe-Cores (but A350M has 2 cores disabled). It should be noted that Intel confirmed this SoC has a 96-bit memory bus. Both parts, however, are using a shorter 64-bit interface and 4 GB memory. The A370M has 1.55 GHz GPU clock and TDP in the 35 to 50W range, while the A370M goes up to 1.15 GHz with TDP of 25 to 35W.

As far as we know, Intel is not providing performance figures for its Arc 5 and Arc 7 GPUs yet. The Arc 3 series are targeting 1080p 60 FPS at 1080p resolution at medium settings. It is being compared to Intel Alder Lake Xe Iris iGPU throughout the slide deck.
