Intel’s new CPU cooler line is indeed happening.

The rumor about Intel’s new coolers for 65W CPU coolers based on Alder Lake architecture was real, it seems. The new cooler has been pictured for the first time, as revealed by @momomo_us. This is the identical design to the already leaked Laminar RM1 cooler from September.

Update: The photo has been updated to a higher resolution.

Intel has not launched a boxed version of its 12th Gen Core “Alder Lake K-series”, which are 125W TDP by default. For those, powerful AIO cooling solutions are recommended. However, the upcoming non-K series with PL1 set to 65W may be cooled using conventional air-coolers. The RM1 version is a short cooler with an LED strip around the fan.

What remains to be confirmed is which CPUs will be bundled with the new coolers, but judging by the previous leaks, the RM1 cooler will be offered with up to Core i7 65W CPUs. Intel is now set to announce its 65W and 35W Alder Lake-S processors alongside H670/B660 and H610 motherboards at CES 2022 press conference on January 4th.
