AMD Ryzen 7000 series to launch on the same day Intel introduces Raptor lake series

According to MyDrivers, AMD has changed the launch date of Ryzen 7000 series to September 27th.

Contrary to the information about potential AMD Ryzen 7000 and 600-series motherboard launch on September 15th (already confirmed by both the AMD during an internal meeting with partners and motherboard makers), the company is now reportedly set to launch its new desktop series two weeks later on September 27th instead.

The rumors about a new launch date started last week when AMD started informing its partners about a potential 2-week delay of the launch. This information has now seemingly been picked up by MyDrivers who citing their own sources claim the exact date, which just happens to be on the same day as Intel Innovation event.

At Innovation Intel is said to be introducing its 13th Gen Raptor Lake-S series, the new desktop series featuring up to 24 cores. For AMD this date would be the hard launch, which implies product availability. What should be noted is that neither AMD nor Intel have confirmed September 27th to be a new product launch or announcement.

Interestingly, the site still mentions the August 29/30th announcement date for Ryzen 7000 series, so this date might have not actually changed.

AMD is now expected to introduce four Ryzen 7000 SKUs featuring up to 16 Zen4 cores. As per rumors and leaked pricing information, the flagship 7950X CPU might cost slightly more than its predecessor 5950X at launch.
